I wish Jon Huntsman a speedy recovery from COVID-19. I hope he hasn’t infected others or caused any deaths from his reckless behavior. He went to Cache Valley, a county with a serious infection spike, and he did not wear a mask or practice social distancing and he shook hands at the crowded event. He did not practice good leadership and has disqualified himself from consideration to govern us during a pandemic.
Cache County has no functioning government. The feckless county leaders are culpable for the preventable outbreak. Fewer than 10% of the locals wear a mask in crowded box stores. Our meat plant is still open and continuing to spread infection.
This pandemic will continue well after the November election. We need new leadership statewide. The party establishment — Huntsman, Spencer Cox, Greg Hughes and Rob Bishop — have failed us miserably during this crisis.
We have choices. I think Chris Peterson and Karina Brown would make the health and safety of the people a priority. I want them to govern us going forward in this pandemic landscape.
