Letter: What do Utah Republicans value?

(Evan Vucci | AP file photo) President Donald Trump speaks during an event on police reform, in the Rose Garden of the White House in Washington on June 16, 2020.

Being that Donald Trump currently has higher poll numbers, in Utah, than an LDS Republican named Mitt Romney, does it not seem that those partaking in this particular poll, place a higher value in their president than they do of the values taught by their very own religion?

As far as I know, the 47%ers comment by Mitt, and now his marching with Black Lives Matter protesters, are the only remarkable “stains” on Mitt’s career. Maybe Bain Capital and their ways of making money could be included, but how far down will Republicans go to support Trump?

One of my relatives recently spoke of the lies spread by ABC, NBC and CBS, while failing to include “Fox and Friends.” Because why? Trump, the epitome of lies, told him so? Mitt marched with Christians and Trump claims “good people on both sides” referring to Nazi protesters?

Would it be a surprise if Trump imprisoned non-supporters, disallowed them the right to vote or executed them, and still led in the polls in Utah?
