In his letter to the editor, Brian King declared that he would not cast a vote for president, as neither candidate met his expectations.
Well… it has been a very long time since we have had the perfect candidate. If we all waited for “the perfect one,” the winner would be declared by votes totaling in the 100s. There will never be a perfect candidate. And after what happened last time when all the Bernie supporters withheld their votes and we got this guy, I would think everyone would have learned their lesson.
I am not saying that I do not believe Biden's accuser. The #MeToo movement is not just a convenient weapon. I am a woman who grew up in the age of male-dominated workplaces, a world of man hands and "it's just teasing." I don’t want my granddaughter to grow up in that world. But I am a pragmatic woman. Do I vote for a man accused by one woman or let the man accused by 27 women stay in office?
Brian King, if everyone takes your lofty attitude, then the self-proclaimed “genital grabber” will stay in office, gutting the EPA, installing the cronies in office and self-enriching for four more years. There are too many people who say the economy is so great we should ignore all the terrible things he is doing, like declaring that the coronavirus is a hoax by his political enemies. Brian, it's time for a change. I don't know if Joe is the best we have, but he is our candidate this time, so make a choice. Don't stand on the sidelines and say, “Don't blame me, I didn't vote.”
