My wife and I are still waiting for our $2,400 stimulus payment. Our daughter, who was forced to close her yoga studio in late March, has yet to receive a penny from state pandemic unemployment assistance or the COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan program.
I wonder how many millions of Americans are experiencing the same all-talk, no-action response to their financial hardship? Perhaps it's the reason so many are in desperate conditions, waiting in line for hours at food banks for the first time in their lives.
