President Trump is right. I am tired of winning.
Winning to be No. 1 in surpassing the number of deaths in China. Being number one in the latest lack of response to something that unfortunately, according to 1918 Spanish flu statistics, could reduce the American lifespan by an average of 12 years.
China has 1.4 billion people, four times the 330 million in the U.S., and the numbers of virus cases being diagnosed here are continually and logarithmically increasing.
Compare this to the percentage of deaths for the 1918 flu, which reduced the U.S. population by 200,000, it is just under 0.2% drop. In the U.S. 2020 pandemic, there could be around 640,200 loved ones who needlessly die.
2018 was the 100th anniversary of Spanish flu outbreak. Ironically, that was the same year Trump decided to cut funding and dismantle the exact department that was responsible to stave off such things.
Lets just say, yes, I am "sick" of being number one.
Trump is No. 2 in my book, and his legacy may be felt by all of us later in our (shorter) lives.
