Letter: Both hands on the wheel
(Nam Y. Huh | AP file photo)This Oct. 5, 2012 photo shows a steering wheel inside of a Kia car dealership in Elmhurst, Ill.
When I was in driver’s education (admittedly in the dark ages) I recall from the driver’s test there being a law that both hands must be used in the operation of the vehicle while driving.
Was that law rescinded? I don’t believe it was.
And yet the Utah Legislature has wasted enormous time and money over the years creating laws specifying which things we can’t do, when the police already have a tool at their disposal.
But if using their time and our money effectively got politicians reelected, rather than passing feel-good laws, I guess we would get the government we need rather the one we deserve.
