Letter: Take this as permission to stand up against corruption

(Rick Bowmer | AP file photo) Rep. Phil Lyman, R-Blanding, is shown on the floor at the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City on Jan. 28, 2019.

Dear Phil, we’re neighbors. Let’s do an inventory together. You make it clear you aren’t censuring Mitt for voting his conscience. You just want to flatter Donald so he won’t hurt Utah.

Phil, buddy, if you are being bullied, let us help you get out of your toxic relationship. You have our permission to stand up against corruption, knowing your fellow Utahns will stand up with you.

Just like we stand up for Mitt against disgraceful persecution, regardless of whether or not we agree with his vote.

Michael Rose, South Jordan
