Letter: Romney should resign

(Steve Helber | AP) Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, left, and Sen.m Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., return to the Senate chamber after a meeting in the Majority Leaders office during a break in the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump at the U.S. Capitol Friday Jan 31, 2020, in Washington.

Good job, Mitt. You embarrassed yourself and the state of Utah again.

Your job as the junior senator from Utah is to represent the interests of the people of Utah, not your own. Anticipating your self-serving acts as a member of the United States Senate, I did not vote for you in 2018.

You lost the presidential election in 2012 because you were not the candidate chosen by the American people. Grow up, accept it, and do the job you were sent to Washington to do for the citizens who elected you.

Enough of your shameful and self-aggrandizing acts. You should resign immediately and let Utahns elect someone who will represent them.

The only thing you left off of your statement on how you would vote in the impeachment trial is: "I believe the President should be removed from office and replaced by me."
