Letter: Hold Trump to MLB standards

(Tony Dejak | AP) President Donald Trump reacts after speaking during a campaign rally at the Huntington Center, Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020, in Toledo, Ohio.

Should the president of the United States be held to a lower standard than Major League Baseball managers?

Recently, two Major League Baseball managers were fired from their job for intercepting signals from the catcher to the pitcher and relaying those signals to the batter — otherwise known as cheating.

If baseball managers can get fired for trying to take advantage of another team for their own personal gain by cheating, then why is this different from what our president did regarding Ukraine?

President Trump has cheated throughout his life, in business, golf and his marriages. Our House of Representatives is holding him accountable for his unethical behavior, which was far worse and more consequential than what the baseball managers did.

Donald Trump definitely committed an impeachable act and should be held accountable.
