Letter: Trump is to blame for loss of Ukrainian airliner
(Ebrahim Noroozi | AP file photo) People gather for a candlelight vigil to remember the victims of the Ukraine plane crash, at the gate of Amri Kabir University, in Tehran, Iran, Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020. Iran acknowledged that its armed forces "unintentionally" shot down the Ukrainian jetliner that crashed earlier this week, killing all 176 aboard, after the government had repeatedly denied Western accusations that it was responsible.
The blame for the downing of the Ukrainian airliner in Iran rests on the shoulders of Donald J. Trump.
Had he not authorized the killing of Qassem Soleimani, for a reason that he can’t justify, as the story line changes by the hour, there would not have been the firing of missiles at our airbase in retaliation for the killing of Soleimani.
This state of military retaliation led to an error which resulted in the death of 176 innocent people.
