Letter: Impeachment is a waste of time

(Tony Dejak | AP) President Donald Trump speaks during a campaign rally at the Huntington Center, in Toledo, Ohio, on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020.

During the recent impeachment hearings in the U.S. House of Representatives, I listened for sound evidence of President Trump committing “high crimes and misdemeanors,” but none were evident.

Now, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is holding the two articles of impeachment and making excuses for not sending them to the Senate for the required procedures. Is there any doubt in anyone’s mind that she is holding onto the articles because they are phony and not worthy of Congress spending any more time on impeachment efforts?

The impeachment hearings have made it even more evident that the Democrats will try anything and everything to discredit Trump and oppose everything he has tried to do since he took office. But, surprisingly, even with this constant opposition he has been able to accomplish countless things that have improved our nation and its people.
