Letter: Sens. Mike Lee and Mitt Romney should demand a proper trial

(Andrew Harnik | AP file photo) Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, arrives for a Senate policy luncheon on Capitol Hill in Washington, Tuesday, March 12, 2019.

Sen. Mitch McConnell is mocking a long history of American jurisprudence by refusing to allow witnesses to be called in the impeachment trial of our president. One individual should not have such power in our democracy.

Utah’s Sens. Mike Lee and Mitt Romney should insist that his directive be overturned.
