Letter: An argument for term limits
(J. Scott Applewhite | AP) The Senate side of the Capitol is seen on the morning after the House of Representatives voted to impeach President Donald Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, in Washington, Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019.
This upcoming impeachment vote is exactly why we need term limits for the House of Representatives and the Senate.
Most of Congress is saying impeachment is a hard decision. What they need to do is forget their want to remain in office and uphold the Constitution. But they are so worried more about being reelected that they are not being true to the Constitution and their constituents.
If there were term limits in Congress, they would not have to worry about losing an election and focus on what is right for America.
