Nelson Lotz (“A more compassionate approach to homelessness,” Nov. 15) paints a very rosy picture of the city’s efforts to deal with homelessness. I recommend that he take a large megaphone to the burgeoning homeless tent city on the east side of the city library and read his op-ed to the folks lying in their sleeping bags and dirty blankets among shopping carts stuffed with their worldly belongings, because they don’t seem to have received the message how much better things have gotten for them.
