Letter: Vote for the Earth

(Susan Walsh | AP file photo) Protesters gather outside the White House in Washington on June 1, 2017, to protest President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw the Unites States from the Paris climate change accord.

The clock is ticking for the health of our planet. Nov. 4 marked one year before the current federal administration can pull us out of the Paris climate agreement. Every indication is that this will happen as shown by continued policy decisions to relax environmental regulations. However, we may have a reprieve, as this decision could be reversed by a new administration.

The majority of Americans now acknowledge the reality of climate change. No matter what our political persuasion, the future of our children, grandchildren and our home planet is at stake. Next November, vote for the Earth.
