Letter: E-cigarette industry just needs better lobbyists

(Robert F. Bukaty | AP file photo) A man exhales while smoking an e-cigarette in Portland, Maine, on Aug. 28, 2019. The Trump administration is preparing a ban on flavored e-cigarettes as health officials investigate an outbreak of illnesses related to the product.

Clearly the flavored tobacco industry should take a page from the NRA and hire better lobbyists.

I mean e-cigarettes have killed six people and everyone is up in arms.

The Trump administration is set to ban them, Sen. Mitt Romney wants to ban them, everyone is poised to do something.

Meanwhile, 39,773 annual gun deaths? Meh.
