Letter: Pence’s visit to Ireland only enriched Trump

(Jacob King | PA via AP file photo) U.S. Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen Pence arrive at Shannon airport for the start of an official visit to Ireland on Monday, Sept. 2, 2019.

Vice President Mike Pence made a state visit to Ireland. Official meetings were in Dublin, 140 miles from where he was staying, Doonbeg, which is President Trump’s golf course. He commuted to the daily meetings at an expense to the American public. The money goes into Trump’s coffers.

Trump decided to forgo the scheduled meetings in Poland and Ireland so he could “monitor Hurricane Dorian.” Meanwhile, he was seen golfing at his golf resort in Virginia on Labor Day as the hurricane approached the east coast of Florida.

His vigilance is astounding and his assets from Pence’s visit are par for the course.
