Letter: All plans for fossil fuel must be canceled

(Trent Nelson | Tribune file photo) Stuart Clason, left, cancels a meeting of an inland port satellite working group as activist Ethan Peterson, far right, is removed from the room. The meeting was held at a police precinct in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019.

Here’s something interesting about the Envision/Satellite Port meeting that most people don’t know. Everyone was seated except two people standing at the isle along the wall. Just moments before the meeting began, two chairs were carried out by police, right past the two people standing. Maybe there is video.

This is just another indication that the questions and voices of the people were deliberately excluded.

The question I wanted to ask is how did professional futurists fail to fold global warming into their scenarios? Envision Utah has many illustrious board members who have apparently been asleep at the switch while a small number of crooks steal our future for their own personal gain.

All plans for fossil fuel infrastructure must be canceled so we can get on with the business of preventing untimely extinction of more species, including humans.
