Letter: Red flag laws are unconstitutional
(Brennan Linsley | AP file photo) Gun safety and suicide prevention brochures are on display next to guns for sale at a local retail gun store in Montrose, Colo.
Red flag laws are absolutely unconstitutional and should be repealed or taken off the table for discussion.
There is no just cause, no due process and your right to be secure from unreasonable searches and seizures would be violated.
The Second Amendment was put in place to protect citizens "from" the government. These laws are an infringement of that protected, God-given, inalienable right.
That is four constitutional rights being violated by a red flag law and therefore it should be thrown out summarily.
