Letter: Huntsman should run for Senate

(Alex Brandon | AP Photo) In this Sept. 19, 2017, file photo, former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman testifies during a hearing of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on his nomination to become the U.S. ambassador to Russia, on Capitol Hill in Washington. Huntsman has resigned from his post as the U.S. Ambassador to Russia and is planning to move back to Utah in October.

I am an endangered Utah Democrat and I implore Jon Huntsman Jr. to avoid the governor’s race and instead take on Mike Lee to bring some kind of common sense for Utah in the U.S. Senate.

I loved Huntsman as governor but he could do more good as a U.S. senator. He proved his worth as governor. In the Senate he could work great wonders for this state and the country.
