Letter: No money for Megan Rapinoe

(Seth Wenig | AP file photo) U.S. women's soccer player Megan Rapinoe celebrates with the FIFA Women's World Cup trophy at City Hall after a ticker tape parade on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, in New York. The U.S. national team beat the Netherlands 2-0 to capture a record fourth Women's World Cup title.

Megan Rapinoe is a good soccer player for team USA, but she is an egotistical, self-centered athlete who doesn’t realize where her financial support comes from.

U.S. sports organizations raise money for athletes to compete on an international level. You hear the chant “USA” at these sporting events to support our athletes. Most U.S. athletes give back this recognition to their country.

I, for one, will not give money to support the likes of Megan.
