Letter: At least Chaffetz isn’t running for governor

(Scott Sommerdorf | Tribune file photo) U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz, with his wife, Julie, at his side, speaks at the Utah Republican Convention, Saturday, May 19, 2017.

We are in a sad state (pun intended) when the most exciting and encouraging local political news is that Jason Chaffetz will not be running for Utah governor.

However, after the Utah Legislature’s fumbling of the medical marijuana and Medicaid expansion initiatives (you know, the will of the people), I’ll take what I can get.

Best of luck to Mr. Chaffetz and his deep state conspiracy theories on Fox News. Luckily, most rational people will not have to endure the embarrassment that is Jason Chaffetz, as they have learned to avoid far-right and far-left propaganda “news” shows.

The fact that, “Fox News has afforded Chaffetz a voice on the national stage,” tells you everything you need to know about the judgment of Fox News.
