Right now floating in our oceans are 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic and garbage. It was put there by none other than the people who call this planet their home. May I add that is the only planet we know of that we can survive on. Although we are very lucky to have this almost perfect planet that adheres to all of our wild needs, we have a very odd way of showing our appreciation. Instead of saying thank you, we dump billions of tons of trash into our bodies of water. Instead of saying we are grateful, we poison our waters with oil and the sky with carbon emissions. Instead of thinking how in the world we got so lucky and treating our earth with respect, we kill 100 million of its beautiful marine life animals a year, because for some reason we think the ocean is our trash can. I don't know about anyone else, but this is a very strange way to thank our earth and if a dramatic change does not occur soon we will no longer have a place to call home.
