Letter: It’s Romney who lacks character, not Trump

(Andrew Harnik | The Associated Press) Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, waits to participate in a mock swearing in ceremony in the Old Senate Chamber on Capitol Hill in Washington, Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, as the 116th Congress begins.

Sen. Mitt Romney need look no further than a mirror to see someone completely lacking in character, which he claims is President Trump’s most glaring shortfall.

It’s hard for me to imagine someone having the lack of class and basic human decency to try and eviscerate Trump on two separate occasions for such self-serving reasons. Not to mention letting down the Utah voters who elected him.

Trump gave Romney a very gracious and thoughtful presidential endorsement in 2012. This is how Romney shows his gratitude. The last thing Trump needs is another RINO like Romney trying to make a name for himself while pretending he has some moral high ground. What a world class back-stabbing, flip-flopping phony!

As a former Air Force pilot, I was trained about the crime of giving “comfort and aid to the enemy.” That’s all Romney has accomplished. He has given the liberal media and opposing politicians the aphrodisiac they all need to keep their “Trump derangement syndrome” alive and well nourished.

All politicians lie. Yes, Trump is rough around the edges, but at least he is doing what he said he would do and cares more about America than what the world thinks of us. I would not want to share a foxhole with Mitt.
