Letter: Did anyone watch the Infamous Potato Bowl? Me, neither.

BYU quarterback Zach Wilson (11) bites off a piece of potato and tosses the remainder to the crowd after receiving the MVP trophy after the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl NCAA college football game against Western Michigan on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, in Boise, Idaho. Did anyone watch the Infamous Idaho Potato Bowl?

Na, me neither. I won’t waste my time on a game featuring two teams that barely won 50 percent of their games during the regular season.

Maybe they should just give everyone a cheap plastic “Participation Trophy,” keep them home and call it good. Maybe give the money each team might get to a worthy military veterans or fallen officer/firefighter charity.
