Letter: Who cares about lawmakers’ religion?

(Rick Egan | The Salt Lake Tribune) Mitt Romney gives his victory speech, at the Romney Headquarters, in Orem, on election night, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018.

I’m appalled that Monday's lead story in the Salt Lake Tribune was titled “LDS lawmakers still a force.” Last I heard, our nation still believed in separation of church and state. I could understand a feature story on faiths represented in the upcoming Congress. I’m far more interested in what bills the lawmakers propose, if they’ll work together to actually pass legislation and approve a budget.
