Letter: Don’t add to Democrats’ power in Washington

U.S. Senate Candidate Jenny Wilson (D) answers a question during the debate against Mitt Romney (R) in the America First Event Center in Cedar City Tuesday, October 9, 2018.

Given the current statements by Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder and Maxine Waters regarding civility, why on earth would any sane voter want to increase the Democrats’ population in Washington by voting for either Jenny Wilson or Ben McAdams?

It’s been a proven fact that Utah voters can maintain control over their elected officials so long as they’re here in Utah. Once they leave for Washington, they become part of the establishment, and if they’re Democrats, they come under the control of people like Chuck Schumer or Nancy Pelosi. Neither of these people has condemned the vitriol being extolled by their radical party members.

I am grateful, however, that these folks are voicing their intentions now so that voters can see clearly what they will be getting in the event of a Blue Wave.
