Letter: Hatch is no statesman
Leah Hogsten | The Salt Lake Tribune
The Salt Lake Chamber honors Sen. Orrin G. Hatch as the 39th Giant in Our City, Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Grand America Hotel.
After more years in the U.S. Senate than his former and soon-to-be-former colleagues Sen. John McCain and Sen. Jeff Flake combined, Sen. Orrin Hatch may have reached his pinnacle as the Senate president pro tempore. But there is one thing he will never be: a statesman like McCain and Flake have shown themselves to be.
In his twilight years, Hatch continues to make "dumbass” statements trying to make himself more “attractive” and “pleasing” in hopes of securing his place in history. Hatch is “mistaken,” as his statements are not only unattractive and displeasing but misogynistic. That will be Hatch’s place in history.
