Letter: Why not just issue wristbands to families at the border?

Monserrat Padilla, left, puts her arm around Aurora, an undocumented immigrant, as Aurora speaks to several thousand demonstrators gathered outside the Federal Detention Center in SeaTac to protest the separation of families crossing the U.S.-Mexico border and President Donald Trump's immigration policies as part of a rally for Families Belong Together, Saturday, June 30, 2018, in Seattle. Last week on the TV show “The View” one of the ladies suggested a simple and effective way to get parents and children separated at the border reunited.

If only they had used it!

It is the method hospitals use to identify newborns and their mothers.

A wrist or ankle band on each. Why couldn’t those immigration guys think of something that simple?
