Letter: The bridge column remains, but fishing and hunting are out? Curious.

(Leah Hogsten | The Salt Lake Tribune) Kayakers, swimmers and fishing enthusiasts line the banks of Lost Lake, August 6, 2017.

I highly value my subscription to The Tribune. However, like many others, I have my pet peeve and feel obligated to input it. With all the downsizing, I often notice the bridge column and wonder how many subscribers read it.

My mother played bridge, but my daughters laugh at the thought, and I know no one even remotely interested in this game. (I realize there must be some in the valley who play?)

On the other hand, I personally know many hundreds of individuals interested in hunting and fishing — news of which The Tribune at one time covered and was very well read. I guess maybe I do not associate in the right circles?
