Letter: Had there been a Garden of Eden, pot would’ve been a part of it

(Glen Stubbe | Star Tribune | The Associated Press) In this May 5, 2015, file photo, a marijuana plant grows at a Minnesota Medical Solutions greenhouse in Otsego, Minn. Minnesota Medical Solutions, one of two licensed medical marijuana manufacturers, lost millions of dollars in their first full year of operations, according to financial documents obtained by The Associated Press.

Anyone with half a brain, and the slightest element of integrity, knows that this “what if horse” left its barn thousands of years ago.

Pot is not some new chemical. It’s not a man-made invention at all. If there were such a thing as the Garden of Eden, your God gave it to his people for their use, benefit and enjoyment at that time. Other than the fact that Harry Anslinger noticed minority people loving the stuff while not paying any taxes on it, pot use would already be an ordinary, enjoyable, everyday thing, even in this country.

So give it a rest, already!
