Letter: So much ‘Hamilton,’ so little world news — what gives, Tribune?

(Trent Nelson | The Salt Lake Tribune) Opening night of the "Hamilton" run at the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City, Wednesday, April 11, 2018.

Reading The Tribune each morning has lost its luster. Some days the entire edition is so small and narrow in scope that any news of the world can only to be found on the first inside page next to a daily blurb called “Odd News.”

Front page, April 8, there was an article and then several pages used to report about a musical, “Hamilton,” coming to Salt Lake City this week. On April 9, there is more about this event on the front page that pours onto other pages. On the last page of that section (all 10 pages of it) is a small article next to the weather box that reveals North Korea’s willingness to discuss denuclearization at a conference with President Donald Trump.

This is a clear example of the public being uninformed because of the priorities of the media. Is The Tribune receiving a cut on the sales of tickets to this musical?
