Letter: Remember to recycle wrapping paper

Rick Egan | The Salt Lake Tribune Bins specific items at Recycle Utah's Park City facility, Friday, December 26, 2014

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year. Trash pickup in West Jordan is a wonderful service; the residents can always count on regular trash pickup weekly. Our recycle program is so wonderful. When driving down the street many residents have the big blue can out at the curb; thanks people for caring what is able to be kept out of the landfills in Utah.

A big question that comes up very year in our household is how many other residents take the time and a little extra work to make sure all the gift wrap your family used this year was put in the blue can and not the black landfill can. You are one person who can make a big difference in the landfills in Utah, so any holiday with wrapping paper, remember the recycling can is the place for the wrapping. Have a wonderful year filling your blue recycling can.

Karen Higgins, West Jordan
