Sen. Mitt Romney was hit with a tidal wave of boos as he took the stage at Saturday’s Utah GOP convention.

It was the first time Romney faced Utah Republican delegates since his votes to remove former President Donald Trump from office in his two impeachment trials. The more than 2,100 delegates in attendance at the Maverik Center in West Valley City let Romney know their displeasure with those votes as well as his criticism of Trump during the 2020 election.

Delegates also attempted to censure Romney for his impeachment votes. That effort narrowly failed.
