North Salt Lake • A California man was arrested in Davis County on Tuesday after police say he bit part of a man’s ear off during an argument.
FOX 13 reports that the incident was allegedly prompted by a disagreement about conspiracy theories.
Detectives answered a call Tuesday about a victim who had been assaulted by Bryan David Boyack, 43, and a “large chunk” of his ear had been bitten off, according to an affidavit of probable cause in Utah’s 2nd District Court.
The affidavit states that detectives were told that Boyack had bitten the victim’s ear after a conversation about corporations and conspiracy theories while the two were in a hot tub.
The victim said Boyack took issue with the fact that he worked for a large banking business.
Boyack was taken into custody after turning himself in.
Boyack was booked into the Davis County Jail.
