One dead, one injured in shooting at Mormon church in Fallon, Nevada

One person is dead and another injured after a shooting Sunday at a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse in Fallon, Nev.

The shooting took place at a church located at 750 W. Richards Street during services, according to Kaitlin Richins, a spokeswoman for the City of Fallon.

FOX 13 reported a 911 call about the shooting was made just before 1 p.m. Emergency responders found two people with gunshot wounds. One subsequently died, and the other is undergoing treatment for a non-life threatening leg wound.

The alleged shooter has been identified as 48-year-old John K. Connor, who is a member of the church and had been attending services prior to the shooting.
