Former first lady Laura Bush will be in Utah next year, talking about life in the White House, her perspective on difficult post-9/11 days and the importance of family.
Bush will be a keynote speaker Feb. 13 at RootsTech 2015, the "largest family history conference in the world," according to organizers, describing generations in one of the country's most famous families.
She is a mother, grandmother and best-selling author, founder of the National Book Festival in Washington, D.C., and chairwoman of the Women's Initiative at the George W. Bush Institute.
Bush will be joined at the Feb. 12-14 conference by daughter Jenna Bush Hager, who currently works as a contributor for NBC's "Today Show" and editor-at-large for Southern Living magazine. Hager is also a mother of Margaret Laura "Mila" Hager.
"As we celebrate families across generations this year, I can't think of more fitting guests to have join us," Dennis Brimhall, CEO of FamilySearch, which hosts the RootsTech conference, said in a news release. "This will be quite memorable."
FamilySearch, the host organization for RootsTech, is a genealogy arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
