The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for much of Northern Utah Saturday evening.

Multiple areas across the Wasatch Front, including Tooele, Box Elder and Cache counties, were affected by the warning, which lasted through 7:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service reported that up to penny-sized hail is possible in these areas, as well as winds up to 70 miles per hour.

The severe weather has caused power outages throughout northern Utah. In Weber County, more than 4,000 homes are without electricity. Nearly 3,000 homes are without power in Morgan County while a few hundred homes in Davis County and the Salt Lake area are also without electricity, according to Rocky Mountain Power.

Northern Davis County and south central Weber County were issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory until 9 p.m. by the National Weather Service.
