Orem • Right-wing political commentator Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during a speaking appearance at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
Multiple witnesses said Kirk was shot, and university officials confirmed that Kirk had been hit. President Donald Trump posted on social media that Kirk had died, which was later confirmed by Turning Point USA, Kirk’s media and political organization.
Authorities said at least one person was detained and questioned, though no one has been arrested or charged with the shooting death as of Wednesday night.
