Traveling in Utah this weekend? Here are slowdowns to prepare for.

Facing a weekend of interstate maintenance, the Utah Department of Transportation is telling drivers to prepare for construction on major roadways

Traffic in Salt Lake and Davis counties will be affected this weekend as crews work on Utah’s interstates, the Utah Department of Transportation said.

In Salt Lake County, the stretch of I-215 between North Temple and S.R. 201 will be reduced to one lane from 11 p.m. Friday until Saturday at 9 a.m., allowing crews to shift northbound lanes to reconstruct the freeway, UDOT said.

The ramp from southbound Redwood Road to northbound I-215 will close Friday at 11 p.m. through October as part of the project, according to UDOT.

Southbound I-215 between North Temple and SR-201 will be reduced to two lanes nightly, beginning Saturday at 9 p.m. until Tuesday at 11 a.m., UDOT said. On Wednesday evening, southbound I-215 will be reduced to three lanes so the lanes can be shifted through October to install a new drainage system.

In Davis County, UDOT plans to reduce southbound I-15 between 200 North and Park Lane to one lane from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. both Friday and Saturday night.

The southbound Exit 325 route from I-15 will also be closed Saturday night for striping, and UDOT recommends drivers use exit 319 as an alternative.

“Construction schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change,” UDOT said.
