Marchers and spectators took to Salt Lake City’s streets Sunday to celebrate the state’s LGBTQ+ community at the 35th Utah Pride Parade.

Starting at 10 a.m., floats and marchers made their way along a seven-block path, as several groups of announcers regaled people lining the route.

A total of 128 groups were signed on to march in the parade, one less than last year, though some notable participants — including Zions Bank, the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management and Walmart — did not return.

The route began at West Temple and 100 South, turned east on 100 South until meeting 400 East, then went south, ending at the intersection of 400 East and 300 South.

The parade was one of many events over the weekend organized by the Utah Pride Center to celebrate Pride month. Included in the festivities were an interfaith worship service on Thursday, a rally and march at Utah’s capital on Saturday and the two-day festival Saturday to Sunday featuring many performers and vendors.
