Utah County law enforcement officers kill a man while serving a search warrant

No officers were injured in the shooting.

Utah County law enforcement officers shot and killed an alleged suspect Monday night while serving a search warrant in Orem, according to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a news release, the man was killed as the county’s Major Crimes Task Force, which is comprised of law enforcement from various agencies in Utah County as well as state and federal law enforcement officers, were serving a search warrant around 11:30 p.m. near 800 East and 400 North in Orem.

The sheriff’s office said the man was pronounced dead on the scene, despite medical treatment.

No law enforcement officials were injured, the release said.

The Utah County Officer Involved Protocol Team is investigating the shooting, the release said.
