Officials investigating death of inmate at Weber County jail
Authorities say the 71-year-old experienced a medical episode.

Authorities are investigating the death of a person who was being held at the Weber County jail.
The 71-year-old died at about 6 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release. An initial investigation showed the inmate experienced a medical event that was not self-inflicted.
The Weber County Attorney’s Office will lead the investigation, the release said, and will follow the county’s “critical incident protocol.”
No other details were released.
