Suspect in Washington City double homicide located, taken into custody

Police said the suspect was considered armed and dangerous before they were apprehended.

Washington, Utah • More than 12 hours after two adults, a man and a woman, were found shot to death in a Washington City home, a suspect was taken into custody.

Just before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, a FOX 13 News crew saw officials take a suspect into custody at a home in St. George.

The video below, captured by FOX 13 News viewer Julie Barney Colbert shows the moment police apprehended the suspect, seen with their hands up before being handcuffed.

Previously, police were searching for a single suspect, who officials identified as a transgender woman named Mia Bailey.

The search came after Washington City Police were alerted to a shots fired incident at 1039 East Chinook Drive on Tuesday at around 7 p.m.
