Baby drowns in Magna, police say

Attempts to revive 7-month-old boy fail.

(Rick Egan | The Salt Lake Tribune) Unified Police are investigating the death of a 7-month-old Magna boy, who is believed to have drowned.

A 7-month-old baby died Wednesday in what police are calling an “accidenral drowning” in Magna.

Unified Police have released few details, but said that about 6:35 p.m., they received a report that an infant boy had drowned. When they arrived at a home near 2700 South and 9100 West, the baby was given CPR and taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later.

According to police, the child’s death is being investigated as an accidental drowning..
