Burgertory opens
Horror fans, come hungry to Burgertory, a new spot in West Valley City that serves horror movie-themed grub with aptly spooky names.
Sink your fangs into “gore-met” burgers like the Exorswiss & Mushrooms, Baconstein’s Monster or the veggie Creature From the Black Legume, and get some “Stake Frights” or “Omen Rings” on the side.
While you wait for your food to arrive, check out the horror movie posters on the walls and argue with your friends about which “Friday the 13th” movie is the best.
Owner Jeremy Sundeaus says he’s always been a fan of the horror genre. “The concept started with a couple ideas for names of the burgers and then kind of snowballed from there,” he said in a text message.
The business opened in April. It’s located at 3197 S. Redwood Road, Suite #9.
The Chocolate Conspiracy opens factory store
For 14 years, The Chocolate Conspiracy has been known for their “bean to bar” chocolate, sweetened with local raw unfiltered honey and made with organic cacao.
Now, chocolate lovers can find The Chocolate Conspiracy’s products at their new factory store on Redwood Road, which is open at 1242 S. Redwood Road in Salt Lake City, with a grand opening coming soon.
The store is a combination retail and manufacturing space, where all of the company’s products are made. But there is also a selection of “grab-and-go” items in the front, said owner A.J. Wentworth, including all of the company’s chocolate bars, chocolate sauce, drinking chocolate and truffles.
Products from The Chocolate Conspiracy are also available at many grocery stores and other businesses. For a full list, visit EatChocolateConspiracy.com.
