Locals gathered to celebrate the 126th celebration of the Park City Miners’ Day parade on Labor Day with bands, cheerleaders, firetrucks, competitions for children and dozens of Corvettes.

Different events took place on Main Street, such as mining demonstrations, live music and a 5K run, in which people and dogs of all ages —and funky costumes— participated to raise funds to benefit animal rescue organizations.

This year, the traditional “Running of the Balls” was also an essential part of the celebration. People in the community bought numbers written on one of the 15,000 yellow golf balls released from Main Street. The first balls to get through the finish line would get their owner a prize, including ski passes and gift certificates from area businesses.
