Utah authorities are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 13-year-old girl from Roosevelt who is believed to have left her home with an “older male” on Tuesday.

The girl walked out of her home at about 5:30 a.m., according to police. Her friends reported that she was in contact with a 25-year-old man from Florida, and that she was going with him to that state.

A Washington state man is a person of interest in Rylie’s disappearance, police said. Further details as to why the man was identified as a person of interest were not immediately available.

The Utah Department of Public Safety issued an endangered missing advisory Wednesday in relation to the teenager’s disappearance.

Before she apparently left her home, the 13-year-old received a Facebook message via the Oculus virtual-reality platform from someone using the name “Monkey King Budda” that read, “I’m waiting,” police said.
