The greater-Silicon Slopes business community is worried about Utah’s air quality. Worried enough to make it their highest concern.

And along with the environment, the tech sector’s PAC — called Utah Tech Leads — has aimed its political efforts toward developing job opportunities, diversity and affordable housing, the group’s chief executives told The Salt Lake Tribune’s Robert Gehrke. On Tuesday, Rep. Burgess Owens spoke with Utah lawmakers during a visit to the Legislature’s general session, but the freshman congressman only visited with Republicans in the Utah House and Senate, snubbing Democrats.
