South Salt Lake police investigating fatal strip club shooting

Police ask anyone with information to call 801-840-4000.

Police are looking for a man they believe shot and killed someone just after midnight Saturday at a South Salt Lake strip club.

Someone called 911 around 12:10 a.m. to report someone fired a gun at Southern X-Posure Showclub located at 3420 State St. Officers arrived to find a man in his mid-20s who’d been shot, South Salt Lake Police Department said in a video on their Facebook page.

The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition and later died, police said. Police haven’t released the man’s name.

Officers are looking for another man who they say left the club after the shooting but didn’t release any identifying information because the descriptions they’d so far received were “limited and unconfirmed.”

Police ask anyone in the area who may have seen or heard anything suspicious to call 801-840-4000 to leave a tip.
